The Independence Day in India is celebrated every year on the 15th August in honor of the birthday of the nation. On 15th August 1947, India achieved her independence from British rule and became a sovereign nation. Independence Day is marked throughout India with flag raising ceremonies and the singing of the Indian national anthem (Jana Gana Mana).

This day is also known as Raksha Bandhan and celebrate on the full moon dayof the hindu month shravan in india. This thread of rakhi is considered as stronger than iron chains as it binds the most beautiful relationship in an inseparable bond of love and trust.
